supporting each other

The Colorado TAA network provides a unifying link to support all Coloradans formally diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders. We are officially affiliated with and supported by the Tourette Association of America, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

We are dedicated to making life better for all people in Colorado affected by Tourettes and Tic Disorders. Our activities include: (1) providing information to educate our families; (2) identifying health care professionals who can support families; (3) provide in-service presentations to educators seeking to understand the impact of Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders on students (4) offering in-person and virtual meetings of TS families.

Colorado TAA is the organizational home of volunteer-run family Support Groups for Coloradans diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome or Chronic Tic Disorders and their families and care givers. There are currently three active Support Groups in
the state: The Denver Metropolitan Area TAA Support Group, the Northern Colorado TAA Support Group, and the Western Slope TAA Support Group. These Colorado TAA organizations are supported by professionals committed to enhancing the quality of services available to these families.

We are formally associated with the Tourette Association of America, which can be found at Tourette.org. We host in-person and virtual meetings; provide a wide range of informative and educational resources; manage active Facebook pages to keep members apprised of new treatment options and research developments
while providing a forum for members to exchange information. We also identify medical professionals who can support families.

Our team also includes three Education Liaisons who have been certified by the National TAA to deliver in-service, live working sessions with school officials and educators who want to be better prepared to support students with Tourette Syndrome and Chronic Tic Disorders.
